Today, we read a passage from Matthew's Gospel (Chapter 6: 9-13 to be exact), in which Jesus teaches us how to pray. The prayer He teaches us in this passage is the Our Father. Some of the words and phrases in the Bible are a bit tricky for us to understand, so we spent a bit of time discussing what they MIGHT mean. By looking at the words within the WHOLE sentence, we were able to build up a list of possible synonyms for those tricky words. We then re-wrote the prayer in our own words. We think it makes a bit more sense, and now when we pray the Our Father using our own words, we know what we're asking of God when we say this very special prayer. What do you think? Does it make sense to you too? We hope you like it
